How to Create your
personal VISiON.
Since two years ago I
been searching for the magic formula and how to get more from life and achieve more in a short period of time. I read many books and listen to
too many audiobooks, and I found that most of them agree on the same common points, in order to change the outcome of your future you have to
.
So what is a VISION? and
why is so Important?. Vision is a vivid Image of a Desired Future( that simple ? Yes).
So how can you build your vision? This one is hard to define since your vision is fueled by your mission in
life and your core values, so then to identify your mission consider what will be important for your personal growth and how that will affect others.
Here are some things that
you might consider to identify your mission:
§
Your personal Mission can not be
like someone else’s. It will be tailored to your unique talents, gifts, and contributions.
§
Your personal Mission must be
written – and it may be one sentence or many pages long.
To help you begin thinking about your
Mission, ask yourself some questions:
§
What are my greatest moments of
happiness and fulfillment?
§
What are the activities of most
worth to me in my personal life?
§
What are the activities of most
worth to me in my professional life?
§
What are my natural gifts,
talents, strengths, and abilities?
§
What am I motivated by,
fascinated with, passionate about?
§
How can I best contribute to my
community?
Consider this to identify your
values:
·
What is important for you? your
integrity?, Fidelity?, loyalty?, principles? Etc.
·
If you have more on one value
pick a few of them that are the most important for you. And remember that you don’t need to be
the perfect example of that value.
·
By defining your values you will
identify also those areas you want to improve.
·
When you identify each value you
should clarify what does that means for you.
Maybe you all ready have given a good deal
of thoughts about the subject or maybe not have thoughts about that at all. The most important part is digging inside what is the most
significant for you as your mission and values you’re taking a giant leap toward understanding what really matters the most to you “The
creation of your personal vision”.
So now you have your
vision. And seems that it is so far away to the future that looks impossible to achieve, that’s
why we create goals. This is the critical link in between discovering what matter the most of you and the actions to achieve that precious
vision.
The most valuable goals
are connected to your “inner passion.” When a goal is in alignment with your principles and mission, you will find it gives you energy and
that seeing it through is easier.
Goals give you a way to move forward with a
greater sense of purpose. To achieve challenging yet realistic goals, you must clarify them in two areas:
§
Why?
Why would you want to achieve
it? What purpose does it serve to you, or to others?
§
How?
That is, how would you achieve
it? What steps would you have to take to actually see it through?
Finally, break each goal into smaller,
achievable steps with deadlines and work them into your weekly plan accordingly.
Remember “a GOAL is a DREAM With a Deadline”
so is not something you think that you will achieve someday or noday. This is something that you will achieve by defining each goal in
manageble chunks of define components to achieve all your Goals one by one.
Ask this question to yourself:
“What is the one
thing I can do this week
that will have
the most significant impact on this goals and Visions?”
